Re-use, re-duce, re-think! GreenHomeNYC's design challenge sponsored by Inhabitat.com, Film Biz Recycling, and Build It Green! NYC

GreenHomeNYC is searching for industrious, creative and environmentally conscious designers to create sustainable furniture for their public lounge space at this Fall’s Williamsburg block party, The NEW New York. In the end, a group of ten selected finalists will work together and with our judges to created individual yet cohesive works that will be exhibited in our Garden Lounge. Winners will have access to a wealth of free, reclaimed materials donated by Film Biz Recycles and Build it Green, a jury of recognized architects and designers to offer creative support, and public press through our blog which will follow the work of the finalists.


Sooho
 Kim was born in South Korea and studied interior design in Seoul Institute of the Arts, South Korea. Then he came to the USA, majoring Interior Architecture and design in Academy of Art University. He is interested in all of design such as graphic design, industry design and architecture so he would like to cooperate with other field designers, creating innovated design in the future.  Especially, he is recently into green design because green design motivates that design can save the nature and also people, making the better world. Therefore, he would like to become a green designer who not only design for human, but also design for the world. So he participated this green design competition and enjoyed designing a green furniture. And then he brought an idea, the Sewn bench.
